Construction of the farm began in the late 1700s and many original features still remain.

This lovely property includes the main white clapboard house which was built in 1787, and a nearby cottage now houses the stable office. Originally a pig farm, a six stall "L" shape carriage horse barn was built in 1930 and includes a second story apartment. A "Q" hut containing seven stalls was put up in 1950, and another six-stall barn built in 1978 is now called the Stallion Barn. In 1998, the newest 18 stall barn and the indoor ring were added to the complex.

Mrs. Susan Bohler purchased the property in 1998 from Mrs. June Feranti, who had bred and raised quarter horses. Mrs. Bohler named the farm "Sterling Meadow", and constructed the two newest buildings as well as the outdoor grass jumping field.

The property is currently leased by Gretchen and Osvaldo Pacher, and has been named "Palermo" after a beautiful section of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Mr. Pacher's home country. The Pachers breed, train and show hunters and jumpers.

The stable boasts spacious box stalls, wash stalls, cleaning and storage rooms, and a tack room. The facilities include and outdoor grass jumping field with natural obstacles, an indoor arena with rubber/sand mix footing and a sprinkling system, an all-weather outdoor arena, as well as 18 grass paddocs and 1 sand paddock.
