Osvaldo Ornia Pacher is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. During his junior career, he won the title of Reserve Argentine National Champion in the children's jumper division, placed fifth in world championships for children's jumpers, and debuted internationally as a representative of Argentina in the junior jumper division. Osvaldo also won the Reserve Championship in the South American Junior Championships, competed in his first Puissance finishing second over a wall of 6'3". He has consistently represented Argentina in the junior jumper division, placing in a majority of the competitions and winning the Junior Jumper Championship of the Americas.

Upon turning 18, he participated in grand prix competitions and was Reserve National Champion in the grand prix division (5'-5'3") on a horse he trained from the start of its career. He also represented his home country on various occasions, including being named first alternate for the Pan American Games.

Osvaldo is well known Argentina for training horses through a systematic program to ensure that each horse reaches the top of its ability. Soon after he began teaching, his students began to win titles in competitions, including the National Championships of Argentina. Osvaldo has been a member of the Board of Directors of Club Hipico Argentino - the most prominent riding club in South America - where he was named president of the club's Equestrian Commission.

In 1995, Osvaldo was contracted to run one of the most important state championships of Nuevo Leon in the children's jumper division: the Mexican National Championships for Amateur Owner Jumpers and the International Junior Championships at Club Hipico La Silla. At the same time, Osvaldo rode and trained numerous horses in national and international classes in Mexico.

In 2000, he tied his own Puissance record he held in Monterrey, Mexico with a horse he imported and trained for one of his students. During his career in the United States, Osvaldo has competed from New York to California, earning high finishes in several grand prix classes, plus numerous champion and reserve championships in both the hunter and jumper divisions.
